STM PICNIC 2004

It’s that time again gang! Saturday, August 7th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, it’s the Annual STM Summer Picnic.

We’ll be at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley again for a fun filled day of riding, games and food. Last year we had over 50 members and guests turn out and we’re hoping that this year is even more successful. Lake Wilderness is a great park that offers us a cover shelter, a great big ole lake to swim in after the rides and public restrooms. We’ll break into multiple groups so that the fast and adventurous can explore the technical trail riding at Lake Sawyer and the social group can take in the beginner level single track that Lake Wilderness offers. We’ll start the Lake Sawyer folks out at 8:00 am and the Lake Wilderness group at 10:00 am. We`ll all meet back at the shelter about noon time and fire up the barbeques and commence to chow down. Dino Rick will have his usual bag of tricks to keep all the kids (grown ups included) entertained and challenged. We’ll have prizes for the winners of the games followed with a raffle. Now the only thing that is required of you is to show up and have a good time. The club will supply the hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and the sodas. We also have a potluck plan: Last names A-L can bring salads of munchies and M-Z a dessert.

If you haven’t attended a STM event before, then here is your chance. They’re a great way to meet people that maybe you haven’t seen before as well as to ride with your usual buddies. If anyone would like to volunteer their time in helping with this event, you can reach me at the numbers listed below. Otherwise, mark it down. It’s picnic time!
