Single Track Mind Cycling Club Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: June 9, 2003 7:00 pm

Club Mailbox:
The club PO box location is inconvenient for most board members to pick up the club mail. It was moved that a more convenient mail box location and cost of relocating be investigated. Jim Grill volunteered to research the club mailbox move project.
Budget Items Approved:
Two $50.00 gift certificates to the Powerhouse restaurant.
These gift certificates were to be awarded as a special thank you to two members who have just completing putting in several years of uninterrupted service for the club. Aimee Zanner has kept up the membership database, addressed and mailed out newsletters and welcomed our new members with new member packets. Dave Goulet has faithfully served as treasurer for many years.
(Thank you to the Edick family which has taken on the treasurer’s work this year and has also taken on maintaining the membeshipr database and mailing out the newsletters.)
$130.00 to person who will do the motorcycle sweep after the Poker Run to remove all signs.
Club will provide food after the event and breakfast before the event to all volunteers who help out in the Poker Ride Event.
Jim Grill was authorized to purchase up to $300.00 work of extra items for prizes for the Poker Run Event if he feels there are not enough good prizes available after going through the inventory of prizes received from the Ride Sponsors.
$100 to buy munchies at Costco to sell to riders at a reasonable price who come to the event and didn’t bring any food and are hungry..
Approximately $536.00 was allocated to replenish the club T Shirt inventory before the poker run event. Short sleeve T shirts in sage green will be ordered in addition to the gray long sleeved T shirts.
$50.00 to the Rick Russell to purchase food for the Devil’s Gulch camp out event. Campout attendees are asked to reimburse campout organizers to reimburse the club fund for campout food purchasing.
Poker Run:
Jim Grill volunteered to make sturdy sandwich board signs that we can reuse at all future ride events to point people toward the event. He will be having a sign-making party at his house the week before the Poker Run. Members are welcome to come and help out.
Jim Goulet asked permission to have a booth at the Poker Ride to inform people about the “Trips for Kids” program, a program that takes underprivileged urban youth out on mountain bike rides. The board welcomed this charitable organization to be represented at the event.

Reprinting of the Club membership cards will be delayed till we resolve the PO box relocation issue.
It was suggested to have a Video Event later in the year.
The next board meeting will be at the same time and location on July 14th .
